ABOUT US
Stage Spiders is a student-led volunteer group that runs community youth projects throughout the Canterbury area. We are completely run by volunteers – our committee, project leaders, and general members are all students at the University of Kent, who enjoy giving their time to work with children in a variety of settings.

We believe that encouraging confidence, creativity, and positivity in children is immensely important in their development. Our projects aim to expand these social skills in children through the medium of drama, storytelling, arts and crafts, and games. Our workshops are tailored to various age groups, and a variety of topics.

We regularly hold socials for prospective and current members of our group, as well as fundraising events which support a variety of charities, as well as to help maintain Stage Spiders. In the past few years, we have been carol singing, collected entry fees for our plays, dressed in our pajamas for Red Nose Day, and carried out our incredibly successful '12 Hour Readathon', for which we were awarded 'Fundraiser of the Year'.
