ST STEPHENS INFANT SCHOOL

Last year we visited St. Stephens School a few times, for a couple of projects. We attended for a one off workshop with T24 (the campus drama group), and also ran a project for the term called Spotlight, which was also drama based. The workshop was based around The Lion, The witch and The Wardrobe, which allowed the children to create the fantasy of Narnia.

STORY EXPLORERS

Located at the Canterbury Primary School, these sessions focused on a mixture of interactive storytelling, drama, and arts and crafts. Children completed activities related to the BFG, Harry Potter, Matilda, and funny fairytales. This project aims to encourage children to think creatively and to have fun through creative means.

This brand new project will be available to volunteer at from September 2020. We will be attending a school catered for special needs once a week to try and encourage the children in their nurture programme to build their confidence through drama activities and play.

THE BEANEY LIBRARY

Tailored to young children, the Beaney Library sessions took place in the children's section of the wonderful, Canterbury library on a Saturday morning. They involved interactive storytelling, followed by a big arts and crafts activity, and is great creative fun for all involved!
